ACO Surface Water Drainage

As the number of impervious surfaces continues to rise, the significance of implementing efficient drainage becomes even more pronounced, as this marks the starting point of the WaterCycle. Whether conceptualizing landscape projects, gardens, or urban infrastructure, adept water management is indispensable to mitigate flooding, ensure unobstructed surface movement, safeguard infrastructure, and facilitate the return of water to its natural habitat.

ACO provides diverse solutions tailored to distinct applications, load classifications, and materials.

Alongside a wide range of grating options, you can obtain solutions that are effective, aesthetic, and provide protection to one of the most precious sources on the planet: water.

ACO DRAIN® - linear drainage channels

Linear drainage presents a more efficient alternative to the previously common point drainage.
One of its main advantages is the requirement for slope only from 2 sides (as opposed to 4 in
point drainage). This results in less piping and associated installation costs. Additionally, it greatly
enhances the architectural impression, appearing much more aesthetic. Particularly when utilizing
ACO's range of design gratings. Some of these have also been awarded the Red Dot Award for
design excellence.

Why choose ACO over conventional concrete drains?

ACO Drainage channels

  • Higher strength due to composite of polymer concrete materials
  • Quick and easy installation, often using modular systems
  • Optimized profiles for higher flow and self-cleaning performance
  • Long service life and minimal maintenance result in better overall cost-efficiency
  • Designed for longevity and resilience
  • Modern, clean design that integrates well into surroundings

Conventional concrete drainage

  • Prone to damage, cracks, and deformation (as seen in real-life examples)
  • Time-consuming installation, heavy elements
  • Often less efficient hydraulic performance, higher clogging risk
  • Higher long-term costs due to repairs and maintenance
  • Requires regular maintenance (deformation, breakage, makeshift fixes)
  • Deformed or broken gratings, safety hazards, temporary covering solutions

ACO linear drainage solutions

The ACO Euroline drainage system is tailored for residential and garden applications and is built to handle the load of vehicles. Its improved channel design and innovative locking mechanism enhance both strength and safety, while also simplifying installation. ACO Euroline is ideal for areas where effective water collection and drainage are essential - such as garage entrances, driveways, patios, and around the home.

ACO Monoblock is a monolithic drainage system, with the channel and cover cast as a single unit from polymer concrete. This integrated design eliminates the need for separate parts or bonded joints, resulting in exceptional strength and structural integrity. Its unique one-piece construction ensures maximum safety and durability, making it a reliable solution for demanding drainage applications. Thanks to its solid build, the Monoblock remains consistently stable even under heavy loads.
